  1. Hey, I hope you are having fun so far. It must be great to see the progress of the base! I hope the van rides back and forth are a little more forgiving this time! Have fun,
    Jason

  2. HI Chuck
HOw are you guys doing this time around. Can you believe that the new base is as far along as it is and I’m sure you see all the finishing work that still needs to get done. Is Mike behaving? Do you think he should drive the motorcylce to the base? Just curious. Well have fun and I will continue to keep praying for you all.

  3. Hi Charlie!

I know computers are not a favorite with you, so I hope you get to see this message. I didn’t expect to be able to send you a message, so this will likely be a surprise for you! I noticed that Deb and Jason sent notes to you. That certainly was thoughtful of them. I’m enjoying reading about the progress that is happening each day there. I thank God for His many blessings.

Although you are very busy, I’m sure you have remembered the wonderful blessing we experienced 45 years ago today.

    Love you,
    Deann

  4. (This is Amy typing for Charlie)
    Hi Deann!
Good to hear from you! In the busyness of our work schedule I did forget about the birthdays. It’s beautiful here. We’re getting a lot of work done. I’ve been working hard, taking down bunk beds and using my mad construction skillz (paraphrased by Amy!) Check out the pictures, I might be in a couple of them! You just can’t imagine the poverty of how some people live unless you’re really here. It’s heartbreaking but I’m glad we can do a little something to help. Love, Charlie

  5. Hi, Dad. We pray your return trip to Guat. is going well. Knowing how much WE have benefited from your skills ourselves, I’m sure your abilities and talents are being put to good use there. We are thankful that our Triune God has given you the opportunity to serve in that way. We just returned from a trip to Canada to see Jeff’s Gma and Aunt and Uncles. We had a good visit. Next week Elizabeth has her MAG scan on her kidney in Grand Rapids and i sounds like you and Mom will be coming here that same week. We’re looking forward to seeing you. We pray for a safe trip home for you and may you be blessed as you serve.

  6. This is Deann, writing a message to you for John. I am over at Monticello’s so John can learn how to get on your website. Their internet connection is much, much faster than ours!
John says the weather here is as hot as it is in Guatemala. He misses the evening talks he has with you.
I hope you will see this before you leave tomorrow morning. We will all be happy to see you. There is lots of news to tell you.
    John (and Deann)
